A wall that waves under raking light is a job that was rushed. We take time on the dubbing out, the angles, and the final trowel so the painter is not fighting the surface.
That includes new partitions, walls that have been stripped back, and rooms where only one elevation needs bringing up to the rest of the house.

Wall plastering questions
Can you skim over existing painted walls?
Sometimes, if the paint is sound and keyed. Flaking paint, wallpaper paste or damp need stripping first. A photo usually tells us which way to go.
Do you plaster new plasterboard walls?
Yes. Board joints are taped and the wall is skimmed so you get one even surface rather than visible boards.
What about chimney breasts and alcoves?
Those are ordinary wall plastering for us. We keep the lines crisp so the breast still reads as architecture, not a lump of filler.
How long before I can paint?
Leave new plaster to dry. We confirm the wait on the quote, as it depends on thickness, heating and time of year.
Can you match the finish to the rest of the room?
Yes. We skim to the adjoining walls so you are not left with a patch that shows under paint.
